App reviewer guide
Everything needed to test prAIcing Agent end to end. Each step lists what you should see. No live store? Use the sandbox store described below.
1. Install from the listing
Click Install on the App Store listing (or open praicing.com/api/public/shopify/auth?shop=YOUR-STORE.myshopify.com). Sign in or create an account; if email confirmation is required, the confirmation link returns you to the same install.
Expected: Shopify shows the permission screen. After approving you land on Store Connection with your shop listed as connected.
2. Product sync & billing trial
Products, variants, costs and stock sync automatically. A 30-day free trial starts through Shopify Billing (test charges during review).
Expected: Products appear under Products within about a minute. Billing shows the trial and the Shopify-managed plan.
3. Set guardrails
Open Guardrails. Set price endings (e.g. .99), minimum/maximum price change and margin floor. Optionally lock a product.
Expected: Settings save instantly. Any price the agent proposes stays inside these limits — this is enforced on the server.
4. Enable the theme embed (one time)
On Store Connection press 'Enable in my Shopify theme'. Shopify opens the theme editor with the prAIcing app embed switched on — press Save.
Expected: Store Connection shows 'Theme integration active' after a product page is opened once. No theme code is edited; no ScriptTags are used.
5. Launch a price test
Open Experiments, start a new test, pick a product and confirm. The test variant price is rounded to your saved price endings.
Expected: A hidden test copy is created. Shoppers are split 50/50 by cookie; each sees one consistent price through cart and checkout. Real stock is mirrored, so tests never oversell.
6. Results and rollback
Open the test for revenue and profit per visitor. Press Stop at any time.
Expected: Rollback restores the original price and removes the test copy. Every change is listed under History.
7. Uninstall
Uninstall from Shopify admin → Apps.
Expected: Store credentials and the store's synced data are deleted. Privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) are HMAC-verified.
If something doesn't look right
- I don't have a store with products
- Sign in and open the Dashboard, then press 'Load sandbox store'. You get 50 sample products and can try guardrails, tests, chat and rollback without any store. Remove it with one click.
- The Shopify theme shows no test prices
- Make sure the prAIcing app embed is on in the theme editor and you pressed Save, then reload a product page in a private window.
- My development store is password protected
- That's fine — install, sync, guardrails and tests all work. Only shoppers outside the password page can't see the storefront.
- WooCommerce handshake didn't return to wp-admin
- The approval only returns to the same host as your WordPress site address. Check that Settings → General → Site Address matches the URL you use, then retry.
