Common questions

How many visitors does a price test need?

It depends on your conversion rate and the size of the effect you want to detect. Smaller effects and lower conversion rates need more visitors. The calculator uses a standard two-group test at 95% confidence and 80% power.

Why measure revenue per visitor instead of conversion rate?

A higher price can convert slightly fewer shoppers yet earn more per visitor. Revenue or profit per product-page visitor captures both effects at once.

My store has modest traffic. Can I still test prices?

Yes. Start with your best-selling products, which reach confidence fastest, and test larger price steps (around 10%). The prAIcing agent prioritises products automatically.

What is the minimum test length?

We recommend at least 7 days so every weekday is covered, even when the visitor count is reached sooner.
